URAAN — The Young Entrepreneur — Mega Project Blog 2
As we were observing a constraint which is faced by Pakistani students in their educational life. The traditional education system is totally ruining the emerging young talent. So we the Batch 146 Circle 7 of Amal Academy has decided to start an initiative to tackle this constraint as a Mega Project.
PROGRESS:
As our Mega Project is related to nurturing young minds towards entrepreneurship so that we can eradicate the problem of employment by making everyone able for self-employment. We have lined-up a few courses to carry out this mission. We are halfway done on our courses related to entrepreneurship and creativity. We intend to design the rest after having feedback from the students, so we can design accordingly.
CHALLENGES AND PROPOSED SOLUTION:
The biggest obstacle in our way of approaching students has been the Covid situation in the recent past. The recent spikes in cases have cautioned more schools and they are reluctant to conduct our sessions in their school premises too. However, to counter this problem, we have proposed to have weekly live online sessions with those students, so that the physical constraint can be overcome. We are still in talks with multiple schools. We have also started to start promotion on social media.
REVIEW:
There haven’t been any significant changes to our approach in designing the courses yet. But we have changed the ways of approaching the schools and students. We felt that the schools were not getting interested in coordination via e-mails, so we decided to go to some nearby schools physically.
IMPACT OF URAAN:
Our idea and approach have been applauded by the teachers whom we approached directly. We have managed to reach more than 200+ people through our social media handles and 6 schools in total. We have no school onboard yet, they all have praised our idea and look forward to working with us in the future when this Covid situation gets better. However, we have collaborated with other projects that have a similar aim of empowering youth in the future like TABEER. We are planning to have an online workshop with them and to have a shared audience for the session.
FUTURE PROSPECT:
There are multiple things in the pipeline like we will design our courses based on the feedback we receive to make it more sustainable and helpful for the cause. There are many schools that we will be targeting. We have planned to conduct online and onsite workshops in the near future. To offer our courses, we will be making multiple Google classrooms where we will be registering a batch of 40–50 students at once so that we can have live and recorded sessions with them. We have also made quizzes and assignments for these courses, so we can have better interaction from both sides. We also tend to raise awareness related to this cause via YouTube. We will be uploading our playlists there too.
